Portia and Ellen

Hello to all..... i just wanted to know your reactions regarding the Portia and Ellen getting together. I have a friend on the Ellen forum she has told me that there are alot of Ellen fans who despise their union and are not too fond of Portia herself Which is sad, their reactions are quite harsh...

I'm one of the galz who frequent the DeGeneres fanboards and thought it would be nice to hop over and see how you are doing. And what y'all are saying about this stuff.
But I wouldn't dare writing anything here if I didn't also like Portia. I do.
I'm a huge fan of Arrested Development, and I loooooooved her on Ally McBeal. Basically only watched it because of her.
There is only so many boards one can be on, so that's why I wasn't here before. And it looks pretty new here.
I'm not sure i will be here often (a girl's gotta do some workin' and sleepin" doesn't she?), but maybe I'll pop in to say hi every now and then ok?

But to react to your post Sungirl:
It's true, some Ellen fans seem to be pretty disappointed about how alledgedly the breaksup went about. Some of them are harsh about it (about both Portia AND Ellen by the way. As they believe both of them were cheating on their former partners). But other fans are supportive. And then there are also a lot who are neutral.
I also believe that some people who are negative there, might be coming from outside the board just to be nasty.
Personally I'm pretty neutral about the breakups and Portia and Ellen being together. Well, I think it is always sad when there is a breakup. And if anybody got hurt, then I'm really really sorry. Stuff like that is never easy.
But on the whole, I think what all of them do in their private lives is their own business. And I wasn't there, so, whatever the magazines write, we will never know the exact details about how all this happened anyway. So I don't see any reason to judge anything or anybody. Or be harsh about it.
If this is what they really want, then I wish them happyness and a looong time together.

I think it's really bad that gossip magazines are all over celebs when they do something in their private lives. And that then half the world is having an opinion about it.

I think portia and ellen are great together, and am happy for
both of them. i find alot of the harsh judgments of portia on the
other boards to be ridiculous.
as a gay woman i am thrilled to see two beautiful, sexy and
highly successful women being open and out about their
relationship. i give both of them alot of credit for being public
about being a couple. no one else in hollywood is doing it.
portia is fabulous on arrested development, she makes the
show for me, and ellen's show always makes me smile.
i admire both of these ladies.

Well I'm an ellen-head also, and the nastiness and idiocy of people the last month on the ellen boards is the reason why I wanted to get out and get some fresh air. A fan who judge and blame celebrities for their private business isn't fan for the good reasons.. I'm really tired of the ellen & portia bashing, but it comes mostly from frustrated lesbians ya know LMAO everytime Ellen break up with somebody it begins again, old faces jumping around and spreading their usual nonsense-- at some point they'll all crawl back to their lurking status until the next occasion. All about their butt, nothing about their art. Makes me support e & p only more really

I'm another gal from Ellen's Community Board. I thought I should check out one of Portia's Forum. This one seems to be more positive than the other forum I have seen - the people on the other forum are a bit to harsh towards Ellen.

I've always been a fan of Ellen and Portia way before they even started dating. When Ally McBeal was on air, I was so addicted to that show and I thought Portia played really well at Nelle. And Ellen, I used to watch her first sit-com "These Friends of Mine"/"Ellen" when it was on air and I thought she was the most funniest person I've ever seen!

I think Portia is so hilarious on the "Arrested Development." I'm so glad that it'll be back for a new season this fall! I can't wait!

I'm really glad that Ellen has a talk show. She's really good at entertaining and you can really tell that she's having so much fun being a host. She and her show really deserved the best talk show and best talk show host awards at the daytime emmys.

Now that Ellen and Portia are a couple, I'm really happy for them. I really hope they stay together for a long time. You can really see how happy they are together (well from pictures that we can see). I wish the best for them.

I agree KP18. I have also been a fan of Ellen's since her first show but I only became a fan of Portia's since her new show started. I never watched Ally McBeal until after "AD" started and I found out she was the gorgeous blond on the show.

Hi, I'm new to the forum.
I have always been an Ellen fan, and I've been a fan of Portia's since her first apearance on Ally McBeal. I was never interested in either of the two ladies partners, although I always knew who they were. When Ellen and Portia got together, I was really happy, cos 2 of my favourite ladies were together. This is the only reason why I'm interested.
I am very happy for the both of them, and I hope it lasts. If it doesn't last, it shouldn't be too much of a big deal, cos people brake up all the time.

Can't begin to imagine how difficult living such public existences must be when it comes to managing the really personal aspects of their lives. Like so many of you, it seems, I latched on to Portia during her appearances on AMcB as Nell. Wonderful performance. Haven't seen Portia in "AD" yet but you guys certainly seem enthusiastic about it. Unfortunately can't grab much time for being on-line at the moment but look forward to keeping up with developments on the forum.

WEll Ellen won a daytime Emmy Firday nigth in LA.She won tow and she gave a cool speech.They were helde April 28th and In her Speech she told Portia This and Potria I love ya...So in other new Portia has a Dimon on her left hand now she does not have the same as Ellen anymoer.it was reported that Ellen got her a new ring...WWWWWWWWWWoo.I think merrige in in the air.it was aslo repoted that is was in egagment ring...
